Wi-Fi connection
Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to check the device's real-time status even when you're away. Wi-Fi connection and status checks are free.
What you can see in the app
- Current mode and operating state
- Inside and ambient temperature and humidity
- Fermentation height
Real-time status comes over Wi-Fi, and logs stored on the device can be viewed while connected over Bluetooth. Wi-Fi also lets you receive firmware updates.
How to connect Wi-Fi
- With the device paired over Bluetooth, go to Wi-Fi settings.
- Select a 2.4GHz network.
- Enter the password. For an open network, leave it blank.
- When the Wi-Fi icon appears on the device screen, you're connected.
Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is supported.
5GHz networks won't connect. Use your router's 2.4GHz network or a phone hotspot set to 2.4GHz.
If Wi-Fi doesn't connect
- If the device is too far from the router, the connection may drop. Try again closer to it.
- If the password is correct but it still won't connect, restart the device and try again.
- Connecting can take up to a minute. Keep the device plugged in.
- If Wi-Fi fails, the device stays connected over Bluetooth.
