Bluetooth connection

Pair the device with the app over Bluetooth. Wi-Fi setup and viewing logs stored on the device are done while connected over Bluetooth.

How to pair over Bluetooth

1. Install the SourFriend app and sign in.
2. Plug in the device and turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
3. Tap “Connect your device” on the app home screen to go to Add device.
4. Select your device and finish pairing. You can set up Wi-Fi right away or later.

If Bluetooth doesn't connect

• Keep your phone within 1 m (3 ft) of the device until setup is done.
• If the device doesn't show up, unplug it, plug it back in and scan again.
• Make sure the device isn't already connected to another phone.
• On iPhone, allow Bluetooth access for the SourFriend app in Settings.
• On Android, allow Nearby devices and Location permissions and turn on Location (GPS) so the app can find the device.
